Summer School

Finally sorted out the pictures from Urchfont. As usual, my head is spinning from all the ideas. We had a two day workshop with Janet Edmonds working in 3d and a morning with Sian using solubles. I spent a lot of time experimenting with samples so I have ideas I can use later but no finished piece to show you. Here are some fancy close-up shots of the paper design based on -guess what - cogs.

No wonder your head is spinning, but what a wonderful weekend. I love those 3D constructions and your paper cogs/wheels look amazing with the light shining through them and creating lovely shadows. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next.

I'm sure you will be able to take away alot of information and ideas from what Jane taught us - great shadow photos - it ia interesting the effects boring white paper can acheive!
best wishes

Hi Jane
Thanks for your kind comments! At summer school it was a flat piece A1 size, but Sian suggested the distortion and now it is approx 2ft square! Struggling with my theme for the diploma but need to practice drawing first.
